School’s back for most kids now or will be soon. Mine go back tomorrow and boy will be nice to not have to break up fights all day long for a while! But then again I will now have to get up at 7am. And by up I mean out of bed, showered, and dressed so I can not embarrass Luke (and myself) when I drop him off. Not looking forward to that.
Fall is probably my favorite season though. In addition to the excitement that comes with a new grade and a new teacher, we get cooler nights, earlier sunsets (better for photoshoots that don’t come practically at bed time!) and the excitement of the upcoming holidays! Speaking of… it’s never too early to get your holiday photos done. Why wait till life is hectic (and your summer tan has faded?) Need more convincing? Book with Kristen for a Monday, Wednesday or Friday evening and get your 40 minute session plus 15 images on a cd for only $125! Not ready for holiday photos? The special is also perfect for back-to-school photos of the kids! This offer is only good for sessions that take place by September 17th so don’t wait!

Earlier in this week I had to pleasure of getting to photograph my friend Kelly’s sweet week-old daughter, Sadie Mae. Not only is she cute as can be she is also an amazing sleeper! I never once had to try to get her back to sleep, she never cried, and she also didn’t pee on my blanket! Can’t all newborns be like her? I’ve known her mom for a couple years since our two-year olds were born and she is so crafty and creative. She made Sadie’s flower headband and makes so many other cute things. Check out her Etsy sight if you need baby headbands, bows, wipes cases, bow holders or more! http://www.etsy.com/shop/theposhladybug?ref=seller_info

A couple weeks ago we went down to Laguna for some fun and photography. It was nice to get away from the kids and shoot willing participants! We had a fun night!
Laura (aka Twin A)

This is so her.

Lily (aka Laura’s BFF)

Lily needs a little help catching up to Laura in the height department… especially in the heels!

This week’s photo challenge should be easy for me since we have spent so much time at the beach this summer!!! I immediately thought of the photo I am entering because I love it so much! I just hope it counts since the faces are just silhouettes (the rules require a human face in the photo.) So hopefully this counts, otherwise I will have to go through and find another photo!
Sorry for posting this photo again so soon, I couldn’t help it.

This week’s I Heart Faces theme is “Got to Wear Shades” and my entry is from last weeks adventure in Laguna Beach with my sister and Lily.
This theme was MADE for her since she refused to even take the shades off! More from that day later!
