Scott, Heather and Baby Makes Three (Laguna Beach Maternity Photographer)

How exciting it was to be asked to shoot Scott and Heather’s maternity photos. As a wedding photographer, there is no better compliment than to be asked to photograph the next chapter in a couple’s lives. Scott and Heather are an awesome couple and their session felt more like an afternoon hanging out than work. It didn’t hurt that it was close to 80 degrees and probably the nicest day of the year so far. Usually in February the beaches are empty and parking is ample but sharing the beach with a bunch of other people is a small price to pay for the gorgeous weather! Scott and Heather, you’re going to make awesome parents. I can’t wait to meet little Mason!

Baby Sawyer – Simi Valley Newborn Photographer

There are certain benefits that come with being a photographer. One of my favorites is always getting to be one of the first people who get to spend some quality time with my friends’ brand new babies. Sawyer is my friend Kelly’s handsome newest miracle, little brother to Sam and Sadie, who still holds the title as my easiest and sleepiest newborn ever. Sawyer probably wins second place! Sorry Kelly, I think that means he’s not going to be much of a napper either! All of the adorable hats and diaper covers were made by his super crafty and talented mama.

The Macias Family – Irvine Family Photographer

I haven’t blogged in a really, really, really long time. So long, in fact, that I almost forgot the details of how to blog. Last weekend, however, I had the joy of photographing my friend Jessica and her amazing family yet again and the result was my motivation to blog.

Jessica is one one of only a handful of friends that I know will be a friend for life. We may not see each other much, but when we do we catch up for lost time quickly. She has three awesome kids, the youngest of which I witnessed come into the world. Any opportunity I have to photograph this family I know is going to end up a fun time. The result is way too many photos to edit! It’s true though, I end up with twice as many “keepers” and have the hardest time eliminating any. Till next time Jess!

BAD Bloggers/Busy Photographers! {Inland Empire Photographers}

So, we are bad, bad bloggers. But we are still here! We *LOVE* what we do. We love planning, shooting, editing and sharing every session and in our heads we post an amazing update of every.single.session. In reality, we both have day jobs. Twin B has a houseful of boys and Twin A has… well no kids but the dogs and hubby take my time!;)So the blog entries stay in our heads. And has been almost 3 months since we posted anything. Yikes! We have been very busy girls, even in the typically slow season and have a lot to catch you up on. What you have missed: Yogis in the forest, high school seniors galore, mamas to be, newborn sweetness, family love, gorgeous girls, sweet little ones and an engagement. We are MUCH better and adding a few shots from each session to facebook- so check us out there!  In the meantime, here are a few of our favorites…



And now you are caught up! We might revisit some of these sessions and share a bit more of each and we will try to be better bloggers…. if we could only get a few extra hours each day!;)

I Heart Faces – By The Book

It’s been a long time since I’ve participated in the I Heart Faces Challege. Too Long. I need the push to shoot more regularly. And the creative challenge. I’m busy with my day job, kids, attempting to work out regularly, and keeping my house clean picked up liveable. But it’s one photo a week. I can do that, right? Okay, okay, I totally failed the project 52 last year. Maybe one a week isn’t always doable, but if I shoot for 3 a month and actually do two it’s better than none!

This sweetie is my friend Jessica’s perfect baby boy Aaron. I’ll post his blog soon (because I’ve also been neglecting my blogging as well!) I was so excited when Jess asked me to shoot her birth and newborn photos. Especially the birth. What an amazing experience to witness a new life enter the world. Thanks Jess for letting me share it with you. I’m honestly a little jealous that I donm’t have photos like that of my kids’ births! There’s always the next one, right? Hahaha, WRONG!!!

When my son was born we were so in the moment that the nurse had to remind us afterwards to take pictures. As much as I love pictures, I’m almost glad that we don’t have any of that moment.
