Relaxing Weekend?!: Inland Empire Photographer

Before the nonstop busy weekends that I am preparing for (It is wedding season!), I have a few slow, quiet weekends to enjoy with my husband! Over this past weekend, we crammed about 4 days worth of “stuff” into one day. Saturday:  Go out to Claremont to watch hubby’s band play (Check out thesoutherners.com  You won’t regret it!), BBQ with the band, go home-rinse off-go back out- Hockey game with Hubby’s office, Apple Valley to see Mad Marge and the Stonecutters play. I am tired just thinking about it!  So being me, I can’t just sit back and enjoy the day so I photographed the band while they played. Then we went to the BBQ- sat back relaxed…. and noticed the beautiful light and forced the drummer’s two kids to be my models!  The first kid was a willing model:

The second one… Not so willing! But he was a good sport! He also quickly took my advice- If you want to avoid the camera in patchy shade or bad light and I will be less likely to torture you! He saw me coming with the camera, jumped up and yelled “patchy shade, patchy shade!” and ran for cover!

And then there is their very shy father… I guess the girl takes after dad!  Notice that I didn’t add any shots of Mom… she was there… but she hid from the camera kind of like the boy did!

The BBQ was at Shawn and Anna’s house.  They have the cutest little old house with all white everywhere and the light was just bouncing perfectly. Loved it. I told her not to be surprised if I show up on her doorstep with a random family for a newborn shoot in her pretty light! More pictures from the impromptu shoot may randomly show up here later… Anyways, her little girl was also a willing model. And quite possibly the sweetest little dog in the world (besides mine of course).  Meet Jane…

Back to editing!  XOXO, Twin A
