Okay, crafty I am not. And it’s taken me practically my entire life to come to accept that fact. As a child all my Christmas gifts were crafty things. I had Spin Art, Shrinkydinks, these fasion plate things, art set after art set, and all the many kid craft fads of the 80s and early 90s. My parents had the garage set up with a table for our crafts and I think at one point we even had a modeling clay wheel. I learned various needle point and latch hook type crafts from my grandma who could knit, crochet and sew anything but I didn’t inherit that gene. Even as an adult my craftiness is absent. I recently tried my hand at knitting a scarf and I couldn’t get halfway done before my yarn was a knotted mess that stopped me from finishing! I should have taken a photo, you have to see it to really understand how bad it was.
My friend Kimmie, on the other hand, is very crafty. Not only can she come up with super cute ideas, she also has the skills to make them happen! She made this cute hair clip for Laura (stolen from her facebook without permission.)

Hey! It is lucky for you that I LOVE this custom piece of crafty greatness because otherwise I’d be upset about you reposting my picture in my bath robe! Photo skill disclaimer: This was taken on phone. My phone that had a shattered screen. After a long day of climbing through fields in my wedding dress for a photo shoot! And my lipstick had faded after I crammed cupakes into my mouth. And yes, my fake eyelashes are falling off in this shot! But yeah, Kimmie does great work! She whipped this beaut up in like a day! I just went to link you guys to my blog post and saw an entire full-page Kimmie spread. Awesome. I also realized that this was mentioned on my Facebook while I was driving. I noticed, told myself to check it out when I got home, got home, and made 168 cupcakes. You know how it goes.
