My boys (hubby included) love spending time near the ocean. Daddy loves to surf but doesn’t mind leaving the board at home once in a while to take Luke fishing on the pier. Luke is pretty obsessed with fishing. He never catches anything but he always knows that next time he will, all he has to do is try a different kind of bait. His fishing method isn’t necessarily the best though as he tends to lose patience after about 10 seconds and reels in his line. Or he’ll hand his pole over to daddy and go chat with all the other fishermen, especially the ones who have caught a fish (or 20.) And then if he’s lucky he’ll get to touch the fish and find out what kind of bait worked and ask any other fishing related questions that he comes up with. He’s asking for California fishing guides for his birthday; ya know, just what every boy wants for his 7th birthday! Maybe we’ll have to get him a new pole too so he can let his little brother use the Spiderman pole that hasn’t yet caught any fish! And so daddy doesn’t get stuck holding Spidey when Luke ditches him!
