Earlier this week I attended the SoCal Photog Shootout. This was my very first shoot out and I must say it forced me to face my greatest fear: being immersed in a group of other photogs that *gasp* may know more than I do! Well, thanks to fellow photog friend Rebecca and our group leaders, I not only survived but I also learned a few things and had a great time!
One session that I attended was to work on senior portraits. The lovely Amber Fox was our leader and like me, she teaches young people the art of photography! In addition to getting some fun shots of our models Hannah & Richard, I learned a torture (er, I mean teaching!) strategy that I will use with my yearbook kiddos next year! Look for another post or two in the next few days with some captures from the other sessions!
