Twice as Nice Photography was created by twin sisters Kristen Fannin and Laura Williams in 2009.
About Kristen: I often scare myself when driving (especially right before sunset) because I see a gorgeous palm tree silhouettes creating the perfect contrast to a purple and red horizon and I start thinking about how I’d compose it if I had my camera at that moment and then I forget I am driving. Long scenic drives are worse and it’s better that I not drive but rather be a passenger with her camera in her lap. I try hard to capture moments without being intrusive but my 7 year old has given me enough eye rolls and sighs when I ask him to look at me for “just one more photo.” I love capturing emotion. There is nothing like seeing pure joy forever frozen in time. New love on the face of a bride. Fresh and sweet innocence of a brand new baby. Giggles between young sisters. Photographs remind us of these special moments and I feel so grateful to be able to be a part of capturing them.
About Laura: During my college days I needed an additional course to fill my schedule and ended up in the darkroom. I instantly fell in love and added a Certificate in photography to my degree. Most of my education in photography was geared towards processing and darkroom techniques so the switch to digital has been more of a self taught journey. I have always loved capturing people in special moments, as well as those ordinary, every day moments that are so often overlooked. I consider it a privilege when someone lets me into their life to capture those moments that are so dear to their heart. Both Kristen and I see photography as a life long journey and are constantly expanding our knowledge base and improving our skills.
