Project 52 Week 5697: Height/Length

So if you have been following along, for the entire year, a group of photographers from across the country our tackling a weekly theme for our Project 52. I have been slacking on this project and haven’t had a post for the past 2 weeks. I have all these grand ideas but a shortage of time! And let’s be real… I need my after work nap!;)This week I did not do any better. The theme is Height/length and being a teacher a bunch of cute ideas involving rulers popped into my head. But here is the problem with ideas that involve my classroom… I’m pretty much busy when I am there, you know, teaching! Ha! So for now I am posting yet another shot from the gorgeous lighthouse wedding. If I could make every week’s theme fit a shot from that weekend I totally would! One of these days we will actually catch up and blog the last few weddings, portrait sessions and oh, yeah, P52 posts but for now, here is a tall lighthouse!

Be sure to check out the work of Andrea of Kiss Photography as well!

Project 52 Week 35- Open Theme

I can’t believe we are already 35 weeks into this year! Life has been hectic for us twins lately. Twin A started back to her day job as a teacher, Twin B has continued working but also started to train for her first 5K mud run and we both drove 7 hours from home to shoot a wedding in gorgeous Cambria, CA over the weekend! Fortunately for us, our theme for the fabulous project 52 group is an open theme! Naturally we are going to go with a shot from the wedding! I mean, it took place at a lighthouse! How cool is that?! Plus the bride is one of those creative, detail oriented types of people that impress the heck out of me!;)

This shot is one that I feel in love with instantly. We only got one shot off before a gust of wind stole the bride’s veil right off her head!

Project 52 Week 34: Edgy

Edgy…. Yeah… all kinds of fun ideas come to mind but this busy girl started back to her day job this week and all those good ideas stayed put right in my mind! So I tried to come up with something simple and quick by looking up the definition for edgy… dictionary.com has edgy defined as “nervously irritable; impatient and anxious” and well, that pretty much defines me as I get my classroom ready for a new batch of darlings while saying good-bye to the carefree days of summer!

Now don’t get me wrong, I love the kiddos that I work with but really, given a choice, staying at home relaxing or going on various vacations pretty much beats getting up early and dealing with public school politics! So my photo this week is from my camera phone. It isn’t fancy or even pretty. But it is the source of my edginess this week! Here is my (still not finished!) classroom

Remember, there are many more prepared and creative photographers tackling this same theme! Be sure to check them out starting with the lovely and talented Miss Gail of Aroha Photography!

Oh goodness… I feel on edge and all nervous for you. I would be totally too scared to do what you do each day! But thank you for working in the trenches day after day – and especially under that gawdawful fluorescent lighting lol.
