Project 52 Week 29- Old/Antiques

Well! It has been 29 weeks of this crazy project! When we decided to join a group of photographers in tackling a weekly theme and posting one picture, just one little picture each week I thought, how hard can it be?! Well let me tell ya… Life has a way of slowing down the creative process! But we are grateful for the encouragement of our fellow photographers and for the gentle push to get our cameras out for anything other than sessions with clients! That being said… I am totally cheating and my shots for this week is actually from a client session (that really needs to be blogged soooooon!) from a few weeks ago!

Every once in a while you get a client that has grand ideas. They collect props and plan outfits. They track down old cars and fresh flowers. These clients were so much fun to work with! When clients have great ideas it is so much fun to run with them and have a super fun session! This session had a vintage road trip theme and I loved every moment of it. Here are a few of the details that we captured (that the client found and brought with her to the shoot!).

Hope you don’t mind my cheating on this week’s theme, but this photos were all I could think of when trying to plan for this week’s idea! And be sure to check out the gorgeous work of my (non cheating) photog friends starting here:

I Heart Faces – Props!

I have been a bad blogger lately. Being busy has caught up with me and if and when I ever find a free five minutes I end up veging on the couch or browsing Facebook. But I’m trying to get back in the swing of it all! So my first attempt is to try to do an I Heart Faces post at least once a month. I can do once a month right?

This week’s theme is props. I loved this engagement session we did last month and am really excited for their wedding next month!

And be sure to check out the rest of this week’s entries!

Project 52 Week 28: Night Lights

So I had this vision of what I wanted to shoot for this week’s theme but all of the couples in town had other plans in mind for my spot! There is a corner on my block that overlooks the entire city below. In the daytime, it is smog, dirt and grime, but once the sun starts to drop it becomes magical and sparkly. Unfortunately over the past week everyone in town has decided that spot is the best place to go “parking”. I’m not one to intrude on young love so I went with a back up plan. Hubby plays bass. He is current project is playing bass for a community theater group’s rendiditon of Bye Bye Birdie. So this is just a quick shot from my 2nd trip to see the play! Be sure to check out what community theaters are in your area because it was such a fun time!

Pretty please be sure to check out the work of the rest of our group! Start with our talented friend Sari! Orlando baby photographer – Sari Underwood

[...] Welcome to week 28 of project 52! It’s hard to believe how far we have come with this project!! Life is about to get back to normal in this house. Most of you should know by now last week Rafa and I had our wedding ceremony after being together for almost 8 years. Everything was perfect and we wish it had lasted a little longer because we really enjoyed having all families and friends around us. My mom and sis are still here and as much as we love them visiting, we almost wish to have our lives back. I miss my quiet routine, my late night working ours and my homemade food. We have been driving around for the whole week and eating out like crazy. I can feel my body asking for some healthy snacks already. Today we got home late and I didn’t have anything to post. As I write this, Rafael is laying next to me watching Netflix on his iPhone. He’s been so good and patient with my family he almost deserves a whole night of playstation when they leave. It’s been exhausting and crazy but we are so happy and glad we decided to celebrate our marriage now. We will have some pictures as soon as I catch up with work and share some of the best time of our lives. I got the image for todays project but was unable to edit and place here. I’ll post it later today. While you can’t see mine please head over to Twice as Nice and she what they have gotten for us!  Twice as Nice Photography [...]

Project 52 Week 27: Silhouette

So those of you that have been following our project may have noticed that Kristen has been MIA with her posts so you have been stuck with just me (Oh and a blog circle of talented photographers! Ha!) and Kristen is still out of the loop but I stole some of her images from her facebook page that fit the bill!
Kristen works super hard and doesn’t get a ton of play time but this summer her family took a trip to Las Vegas. Her kids had never been and were super excited about it! I love both of her shots because they show her view- watching her kids take in their first trip to Vegas!

I hope you stick with us! We are more than half way through this crazy challenge! And while we have each missed a week (or 3!) here and there, as a team, we are making our way along thanks to the encouragement of the other photographers on this journey with us! Be sure to add some love and encouragement as you make your way around and see their gorgeous work! Next up is Jennifer Eligh Baltimore Photographer – Jenifer Eligh

Project 52 Week 26: Freedom/Independence

I love where I live. I am grateful for those that fight for our freedoms and spend so much time away from their families so that we can have so many opportunities. I am grateful to those families that watch their moms, dads or husbands leave to fight for strangers.

One of the freedoms that I am able to enjoy is summer break. As a teacher, I count on the 3 months off to recharge my batteries so that I can come back strong, with new patience and drive each September. I am able to spend time with my nephews. These little guys (2/3, one is on a trip with his grandmother) can be so very independent. Luke is a very wise big brother. He knows the rules and isn’t afraid to tell you what they are. Cole is a fearless bundle of energy. He will jump off of anything and ditched his training wheels months ago. They went home yesterday but I can still hear their giggles. So thank you to all of those who fight for our freedom. You give us those infectious giggles.

Now be sure to continue on and check out what Jenifer Eligh has for you this week! Baltimore Photographer – Jenifer Eligh
